The week begun with me heading to OMR to spend time with mother. I had a nice time and was suggesting to her that she needs to start a YouTube channel to talk about all the Purandara Dasa songs that she loves - singing it and then talking about what she loves with it. She has loved singing for as long as I can remember, and I wish that she does this.
Of course had some great food - Alu Paratha and Kootu (the Kannada version).
For my phone, I had initially bought this case but really hated it. It made a big phone, even bigger. I started to get annoyed with it and decided to use my store credit from the Google Store to pick up the pixel case - It makes the experience 100x better.
I’ve been having a really bad allergic reaction to something and its resulted in a lot of rashes in the shin area on my right leg. I went to a derm and got some medication for this. Weirdly enough got prescribed methylprednisolone which I found really weird. I’m sure there are better ways to deal with this.
Post the derm appointment, got an hour of badminton thankfully. Was a wonderful session.
Prasanna and I have been doing a lot of discussion around her brand - Sundarakala and its finally resulted in the announcement we have been working towards - Sundarakala will now be selling merchandise! I think one of the most favourite things that I’ve watched this week is this Everything is Everything episode on Bruce Springsteen and I absolutely loved it. To see Amit and Ajay be so candid, laughing with each other about their experiences with the songs was just so wonderful to hear.
A dear dear friend and I have been wanting to put out podcasts where we each take an album / a song / something in music and talk about what each of us loved about it with our stories, etc. I sent this to him as a reminder for how we should make each of us feel when we do make this. Can’t wait.
Ajay, in the episode mentions November Rain and it was one of the most favourite songs growing up - specially Slash’s solo parts.
✨Highlight✨
I sent in my first opinion pitch about the upcoming blanket Aadhaar mandate for booking Tatkal tickets. It was such a surreal experience in writing this. I started at over 1700+ words and then with feedback, I managed to get it to about 950 words (MUCH harder than I’m making it sound right now) and sent it in just today.
Super excited and nervous about this. I hope this is the first of many 🤞🏾
I am in Tumkur right now to attend a small family thing. We were supposed to travel here last night but because of a few coordination problems, I had to stay the night at Bangalore and got to spend a few hours with a few of the dearest people in my life. What a happy coincidence this was and I needed this.
