Weeknotes - 2025-W28
The great shri shri Minnal maathe waiting for her food
This week marked the start of a new gym plan for me, with 1 month being done. My trainer asked me if there’s something I’d like to focus on specifically and I told him that I’d like to focus on being able to do pull ups. He incorporated this into the program and I can tell you that after a week of doing it, it is hard. But what isn’t?
I also graduated from Romanian deadlifts (RDL) to conventional deadlifts this week and that felt quite awesome. Was able to work my way to 60KGs :)
New programs = soreness. Guaranteed. For the Kannada readers, when someone asks me how I feel on those days, I always say I feel like a ಸೋರೆಕಾಯಿ. A sore-kai 😁.
This week was a good badminton week too, I wasn’t able to play to my usual intensity because of the soreness from gym, so I took more breaks between games. Though the games I played were amazing.
After the badminton game, 2 of the friends wanted to pick up some dinner and I … went for a cortado. I also had another great cortado this week at Isobel Coffee House which was great too!
Am I becoming a cortado addict? Are we called cortaddicts? Should I extend Ted Lasso’s doctor’s advise here?
… as my doctor told me when I got addicted to fettuccine Alfredo, that’s a little rich for my blood.
A talk that a friend and I proposed for PyCon India 2025 got selected! We briefly met this week to kick start the discussion and it looks like we have some kind of a checkpoint on the 23rd of this month - need to buck up and get down to work.
I was in Bangalore over the weekend to attend my father’s very close friend’s factory opening. It was a quick visit.
While 3SB sat at a bus stop at 10:30PM, a random biker wheelied on the road and the stark contrast of emotions was so apparent. #IYKYK
A dear friend’s father is battling cancer and I went and spent some time with uncle and the others. Cancer never gets easy despite all the advancement we make, it looks like. It hits everyone - the person, the caretakers, the extended family in various ways - absolutely no one can catch a break. It looks like they are past one major hurdle and there are a few more to go. I’m wishing that it’s all precautions from here on out. Wishing remission for him, ASAP.
Till next time 👋🏾
